First and second place winners in each category received a cash prize.
Family members, friends, and community supporters attended the reception to celebrate the accomplishments of the local writers. The evening provided an opportunity to recognize participants and share in the joy of writing and storytelling.
Chris Surfus, president of the Friends, said, “We extend our sincere thanks to all who participated in the contest. The enthusiasm and talent displayed by each writer helped make this event truly special. We congratulate all of our winners and participants and look forward to continuing this tradition next year, fostering creativity and inspiring even more members of our community to share their stories through the written word.”
